The design is inspired by vaulted ceilings whilst perforated chimneys have influenced Corsini’s design of the cylindrical lampshade.
First designed in 1955 by Barba Corsini, the recognisable PD2 Floor Lamp was conceived for the refurbishment at Le Pedrera in Barcelona; one of the world’s most prominent buildings. Modern before its time, the PD2 Floor lamp has since been adapted in 1991 and remains a prominent designer piece. The lamp is now available in black or white steel with matching cable.
