Wood

Cane / Rattan
This material offers a beautiful finish that combined with clever craftsmanship can be woven into striking shapes and structures. It is hugely trendy and very eco-friendly.
Marble / Quartz
Giving gemlike aesthetics, marble will forever be a sought-after material. It has been used since ancient times and does not show any sign of slowing down. For a slightly less scary pricetag try quartz as an alternative.
Leather
Another resoundingly popular material is leather. It can make a very sophisticated and traditional upholstered appearance, or even offer a modern touch depending on what it is paired with.
Cork
More unusual but nevertheless very attractive is cork. It has a lovely soft texture, and the trees are not cut down for use, but stripped in layers and continue to grow.
