Each year, a significant quantity of bluewrap is disposed of, contributing to environmental waste. In response to this issue, the Blue Finn chair has been developed to address the recycling of this surplus material. This innovative chair is designed to be highly stackable and versatile, featuring a plastic seat and back crafted from a minimum of 85% recycled bluewrap, commonly used to maintain sterility in medical instruments. Bluewrap consists entirely of polypropylene, specifically meltblown and spunbond homopolypropylene, which is readily recyclable, albeit through a distinct process compared to recycling PET bottles. Typically, bluewrap is utilised once, discarded, and subsequently collected in collaboration with a waste management company.

The Blue Finn chair boasts environmental sustainability. Its steel wire frame, with a diameter of 12 mm, is coated with a powder finish, enhancing durability and longevity. Notably, the chair is entirely recyclable and locally manufactured, aligning with eco-conscious principles. The steel components of the frame are epoxy-coated, with colour options; despite potential color variations inherent to its recycled composition, the plastic parts consistently present a dark blue tone, ensuring uniformity within each chair's back and seat.
