This rustic-look Ash wood table top has been given an industrial treatment, highlighting the open grain and knots.
To achieve the aged and brushed look, the solid wood top is wire brushed to deepen the grain with a black or brown paint rubbed over to fill the wood's knots and grains. The top is then finished with your choice of wood stain (darker wood stains work best).
Sourced from Europe, ash wood differs to oak wood in that it does not bare as much radial grain patterning and is lighter in colour, making it easier to stain.All ash wood tops are supplied with a natural matt lacquer 10% sheen as standard which showcases the wood and helps protect against most abrasions and stains (the higher the sheen, the higher the protection and 'gloss').
