Takumi draws inspiration from Japanese craftsmanship, emphasising circularity and minimalism while incorporating nostalgic details. The steel tubes of the structure interweave, reminiscent of Escher's optical illusions, providing a platform for customisable and reconfigurable soft upholstered elements.

The name "Takumi" originates from the fusion of two kanji characters, "taku," signifying "skillful," and "mi," representing "to see." In ancient Japanese, Takumi denotes an individual excelling in craftsmanship and technology. This versatile design is offered with or without armrests, complemented by a diverse selection of fabrics and a steel frame that can be chrome-plated or painted in various colours. These components harmonise to offer sophisticated or vibrant variations to suit different preferences and interior aesthetics. This collection embodies a harmonious blend of visual appeal and ergonomic comfort; the steel tubes composing the framework intricately interlace, akin to Escher's optical illusions, to support plush upholstered components that can be disassembled and reimagined.
