Wood panel barrier system

Two types of wooden-framed panels are available. The first features a robust 40mm frame designed to hold recycled scaffolding boards. These boards can be sanded to resemble new timber or lightly sanded for a reclaimed look. The second type is a 20mm framed timber panel, significantly lighter and ideal for clients who need to pack away their alfresco furniture at the end of each day. All wooden-framed panels are manufactured entirely in-house and can be customised to any width, ensuring flexibility and bespoke solutions for diverse applications.

The Wood Panel Barrier System is designed for both interior and exterior applications, available in any standard wood finish. Woodwork can be left untreated, painted in any Cuprinol shade, and metalwork can be powder-coated in any RAL colour, Pantone, or CMYK value. Utilising existing café barrier components ensures the strength and security of the wooden panels. All finishes applied are marine grade, with yacht varnish as the standard. This varnish, ideal for bare wood or existing solvent-based finishes, protects exterior wood against the elements and remains flexible to prevent cracking, peeling, or blistering. Unless otherwise requested, a clear varnish is used to highlight the wood grain.

Logos, messages, or other designs can be applied to the finished panel prior to varnishing using one of three methods: stenciling, digital printing on smooth timber, or burning for limited-detail artwork. The panels are further reinforced with a 5mm mild steel frame, welded in place to ensure robustness and durability. Reclaimed scaffolding boards can be sanded to resemble new timber or lightly sanded for a reclaimed look, while lighter timber options are perfect for clients who need to pack away their alfresco furniture nightly. Standard sizes are 1200mm centers (986mm wide) x 860mm, with bespoke sizes available upon request.
