Curzon Sheffield brings Curzon’s unique film and events programme to a beautiful Grade II listed building, which was previously occupied by the Sheffield Banking Company. Curzon Sheffield, located on George Street, has been treated to an impressive refurbishment – designed to preserve its character and complement its period features. The industrial history of the building has been embraced with modern stone and timber floors, and the use of reclaimed materials throughout offers an exciting final design for the cinema.
The renovation at Curzon has been carefully designed and organised, making sure every detail has been taken into account. The Curzon in Sheffield is the third Curzon Cinema that Inside Out have worked on, and so our previous experience working with the franchise made the job run smoothly.
Inside Out worked together with ABDA Design to provide the coveted Bellissimo armchair and the Bellezza armchair, upholstered in a wide variety fabrics. The seats were upholstered in a collection of different designs, taken from Panaz, Sinclaire and Sunbury – ensuring that the client had their favourite fabrics for the seating.
The wood frame for the Lusso armchair was stained to match Havwoods Henley European Oak Timber floor boards, guaranteeing the design had consistency throughout. The playful Marshmallow stool was also incorporated into the refurbishment, upholstered in a range of energetic primary colours. A small selection of our Industrial chairs were included, finished in a striking red, while the stunning modern Tonic Lounge Chair was covered in a harlequin material combining both brights and neutrals. The contrasting range of seats were brought together by The Maggiore table, used throughout the venue and stained with two different finishes.
