Working alongside Karavan Interiors, Inside Out supplied furniture for the build of Servisair’s new Aspire lounge situated in Manchester airport. The brief was to create a calm and relaxing space where passengers could unwind before a flight or get some work done before they leave the country.

Servisair is the largest provider of aviation services that operates at 140 airports worldwide and they have lounges in various airports around Europe, Asia, Africa, North and South America. Their lounges accommodate millions of passengers every year and they provide hot and cold food and beverages, a number of devices to entertain their customers as well as privacy booths to read or work or whatever the customer desires some quiet time for.

Karavan Interiors chose Inside Out’s furniture to supply for the lounge and it was decided that bespoke furniture would be the best choice to customise the area and make it unique to Servisair. L Shaped and Oval seating was designed by Inside Out's in-house design team together with Long American Booths to create a dynamic choice of seating considering the different areas of the lounge and offering spatial awareness. There were bespoke desktops to place in the privacy booths so that passengers could have some time to themselves without distraction and bespoke counters were also used in the making of the Aspire lounge. To create a child friendly area, Inside Out also supplied a bespoke children’s bench.

The fabrics chosen had calming but indulgent colours in mind, which the client chose, creating a luxurious and rich but cosy feel that passengers can appreciate when preparing to travel.
