Inspired by the style and culture of Sicily, Italian restaurant Norma is the latest venture from acclaimed chef Ben Tish, located in the heart of London’s Fitzrovia district. The interior concept needed to reflect the island’s rich artistic history, as well as its rocky, volcanic landscape.
A Mediterranean colour palette was carefully selected to complement the Morroccan wall tiles. Lava stone table tops, each hand-crafted from volcanic rock, were brought in to create a dramatic statement feature. Displaying an intricate hand-painted motif, featuring a decorative border and renaissance patterning, a truly symbiotic style was created for the restaurant.
The Yves and Rosalie side chairs bring warmth to the restaurant, featuring stained solid wood legs and brass slipper cups. These pieces, combined with the Farley side chairs, marry traditional, al fresco dining style seating with contemporary shaping, making them the perfect fit.
