When Somewhere Restaurant set out to launch their stunningly elegant new space inside Harrods, they had a clear vision: a dining experience that felt immersive, bold, and luxurious - both inside and out. From the vibrant interiors to the relaxed terrace, every detail needed to be carefully curated to reflect the brand’s personality and stand up to the demands of a high-end, high-footfall environment.

Inside Out Contracts was brought on board to bring their vision to life through carefully selected, commercial-grade furniture.

The project was delivered in phases, beginning with the interior dining area, where the standout feature was a set of truly special bespoke Velmello lounge chairs. When Somewhere Restaurant set out to launch their striking new space inside Harrods, they had a clear vision: a dining experience that felt immersive, bold, and luxurious — both inside and out. From the vibrant interiors to the relaxed terrace, every detail needed to be carefully curated to reflect the brand’s personality and stand up to the demands of a high-end, high-footfall environment.

The team’s challenge was to deliver something that looked beautiful, performed under pressure, and elevated the dining atmosphere — with bespoke design playing a key role, particularly indoors.

The project was delivered in phases, beginning with the interior dining area, where the standout feature was a set of truly special bespoke Vemello lounge chairs. These chairs were made to be full of character and personality. Each one was upholstered in bold combinations of fabrics like Enchant Cactus and Luxe Performance Velvet Cinnamon, paired with contrasting backs and finished with luxurious bullion fringe detailing around the base. It’s the kind of detail that turns furniture into a talking point - and it brought a playful, design-forward energy to the restaurant's interiors.

To complement the seating and soften the space, Inside Out also created patchwork scatter cushions, each one mixing rich velvets and textures in warm, inviting tones. These not only added comfort but also a handcrafted and colourful feel that matched the restaurant’s creative concept.

The final phase took things outside to the terrace area, where the team ensured the same design quality carried through to the exterior. Durable Krayon side chairs and sofas were chosen for their clean, modern lines and robust construction. Upholstered in Zest Moss, with rope backs and aluminium frames, they were made to withstand the elements - but with the same attention to colour, material, and comfort. Custom seat pads, designed from a client-supplied template, completed the look and ensured everything fit seamlessly into the space.

The end result? A beautifully cohesive restaurant that flows effortlessly from indoors to outdoors, with furniture that doesn’t just serve a function - it tells a story. Inside Out Contracts’ ability to balance design flair with commercial practicality helped Somewhere Restaurant at Harrods create a truly standout space that’s as comfortable as it is stylish.
