The Royal Automobile Club - Private Club

The Royal Automobile Club, located in the heart of Pall Mall, central London, is an extraordinary venue featuring 108 elegantly furnished bedrooms that serve as a sanctuary of luxury and sophistication. This magnificent establishment is designed to transport guests into a world of beauty and refinement.

Upon entering the Royal Automobile Club, one is immediately captivated by the grandeur of its architecture. The striking reception area boasts dramatic ceiling heights and a magnificent dome that allows natural light to cascade down, enhancing the elegance of the surroundings. With stunning automobiles and exquisite artworks adorning the space, every detail exudes a sense of opulence.

At Inside Out Contracts, we specialise in delivering bespoke furniture solutions tailored to the unique visions of designers and clients alike. In this project, we were tasked with creating a distinctive table that would complement the refined aesthetics of the club's interiors. The client had a specific style in mind, inspired by an existing piece, and sought our expertise to bring this vision to life while adhering to a defined budget.

The challenge was not only in the design but also in the intricate manufacturing process. Coordinating multiple components from different manufacturers was essential. The table’s glass top required precise painting and preparation, while the base and thick edging were crafted separately. Our dedicated team meticulously managed the logistics, ensuring all elements were delivered on time to meet the client’s timeline.

To maintain design consistency, we matched the painted glass colour to the existing table using a Pantone reference, which we then converted to a RAL colour reference for accuracy.

Today, the golden glass table stands proudly within the beautifully designed bedrooms, embodying the essence of the Royal Automobile Club’s luxurious atmosphere. Each piece of furniture, including this elegant side table, is crafted with care, enhancing the guest experience and inviting them to savour the tranquillity of their surroundings.
