Every busy traveler needs a place to relax, and at Virgin East Coast Trains their newly refurbished lounges offer contemporary and design led spaces to do just that. Working with the designers, Inside Out Contracts supplied furniture to London Kings Cross, Newcastle, Darlington, Doncaster, Edinburgh, Leeds, Wakefield and Berwick First Class lounges.

Keeping in tune with the design brief’s contemporary focus, the first class lounges feature statement furniture designs and accessories with highlights of Virgin’s signature red branding throughout. For London’s King Cross lounge, a selection of unique upholstered chairs from the high back Moscow swivel chairs to the modern Allendale bar stools with red leather upholstered seats offset the bold interiors. Cosmopolitan lounges with their high encapsulating statement design offer privacy and comfort for travelers in Leeds, whilst tartan upholstered Marshmallow stools, traditional Holmes and Chester sofas in Edinburgh rein in on the Scottish pride. A combination of Scandinavian style solid wood tables included throughout the lounges also build on the contemporary design brief, adding a luxe but homily feel.
