Focus on FSC Approved Wood & Eco-friendly Fabrics
There are quite a few standards around sustainability for furniture and fabrics. However a core standard for wood products is the FSC certificate.
The FSC® certificate is important because it identifies products containing wood coming from correctly and responsibly managed forests, according to rigid environmental, social and economic standards. Origins of forest have been independently controlled and evaluated according to these standards (principles and criteria of good forest management) established and approved by Forest Stewardship Council.
