Clerkenwell Design Week 2024 | Celebrating Innovation and Design

The Inside Out Contracts team recently returned from Clerkenwell Design Week (CDW) 2024, and we are delighted to share our experiences from this remarkable event. Nestled in the heart of London, Clerkenwell is renowned for its dense concentration of creative businesses and architects, making it a pivotal global design hub. This year, CDW exceeded all expectations, with a creative buzz filling the air and a remarkable lineup of events and exhibitions.

Clerkenwell Design Week is a testament to the area’s vibrant and diverse community. Celebrating its stature, CDW 2024 showcased the world’s leading interior brands through over 600 showroom events, 11 curated exhibitions, eye-catching installations, insightful talks, designated design destinations, and a lively fringe programme. As the UK’s leading design festival, CDW has won numerous awards for its outstanding contribution to the design world.

Reflecting on our enriching experience from last year, where we discovered some outstanding furniture pieces, we were eager to explore and share our top finds for this year. Notably, the Tricia Armchair stood out with its elegant and versatile designs, perfect for both contemporary and classic interiors. The Eternity High Stool, another remarkable piece, combined sleek aesthetics with ergonomic comfort, making it a must-see at the festival.

In addition to the stunning designs we encountered, sustainability was a major theme at Clerkenwell Design Week 2024. We were particularly impressed by furniture pieces made from sustainable materials, showcasing how eco-friendly practices can merge seamlessly with high design. The Hemp Chair and Stool caught our attention with their innovative use of natural hemp fibers, offering both durability and a unique aesthetic. Another standout was the new Compound Dining Chair, crafted from repurposed coffee waste. This chair not only exemplifies creative reuse but also features a sleek, modern design that doesn't compromise on style. These pieces highlight the growing trend of sustainable design, proving that environmental responsibility and beautiful interiors can go hand in hand.
